Every ship that is home ported in the United States is provisioned by people with disabilities!

Worker on the jobAs a leader in federal contracting for people with disabilities, VersAbility Resources has secured four contracts that are national in scope. VersAbility Resources shares the benefits of our nationwide contracts by subcontracting with other disability-serving organizations. Our national contracts are building the capacity of 17 nonprofits with similar missions and generating jobs for 300 individuals with disabilities across the country. We are committed to strengthening other agencies so they too can secure more work and create more jobs for people with disabilities.

VersAbility Resources is the prime contractor for ship provisioning services for the U.S. Navy at seven locations around the globe, which amounts to 300 jobs for people with disabilities. VersAbility Resources directly employs 98 employees with disabilities to fulfill this work at Naval Station Norfolk and Pearl Harbor.

We also hold two federal contracts from the United States Air Force to deliver official military mail at 14 bases across the country. We directly employ people with disabilities at Langley Air Force Bases, Tyndall Air Force Base, and Seymour-Johnson providing jobs in Hampton Roads.

Our fourth national federal contract is with the United States Air Force providing Call Center support based at Langley Air Force Base to support 12 bases across the country.

VersAbility Resources earned its first government contract in 1984.  Since then, we have added to our roster of diverse federal contracts that provide ongoing jobs for people with disabilities at regional military installations.  We currently hold 14 regional government contracts that provide jobs in Hampton Roads. Individuals at these jobs work alongside enlisted and civilian personnel, earning competitive wages and benefits.

Regional federal employment solutions include manufacturing eyeglasses at the Naval Weapons Station Yorktown and operating telephone call centers at Langley Air Force Base (the hub for Air Combat Command communications). VersAbility Resources’ employees regularly receive commendations for our federal contract staffing and we have won new contracts because of our quality work.
