For years, the flooring in one of our busiest prog For years, the flooring in one of our busiest program rooms in Newport News has been showing clear signs of wear.

Today, the tiles are cracked, uneven and deteriorating - and the people using the space are adults with significant disabilities.

To them, a “worn floor” isn’t just a minor inconvenience:

-A small crack can stop a wheelchair or walker in its tracks.
-Uneven tiles can create anxiety for those with sensory sensitivities.
-A subtle shift in flooring can lead to a fall for individuals with visual impairments.
-Direct support professionals must carefully navigate the space while keeping everyone safe at all times.

This space is meant to support learning, engagement and community. But the current flooring makes that more challenging for everyone who depends on it.

Your Giving Tuesday gift helps us create a more welcoming space for adults with disabilities.

Every square foot fixed = more dignity, safety and confidence.
